Wayne and Sharlot together inspired the national
swing dance circuit from 1991 through 2008.
West Coast Swing being their specialty. They were awarded swing dancing's "Innovation Award" and
lead the West Coast Swing community in fresh, stylish, and innovative dance directions until the
sudden and tragic loss of Wayne Bott in 2008.
Sharlot Bott
continues the dance legacy of Wayne and Sharlot. Sharlot is an exceptional and unique swing
dancer and teacher who serves to inspire others through dance. Today she continues to grow even stronger
as an individual, as a dancer, teacher, judge and community leader. She is the Competition Director,
Board member, and shareholder of the US OPEN Swing Dance Championships. On any given weekend you can
catch her at one of the many other National Dance events competing, judging or inspiring spectators
with her social dance. (see schedule)
Wayne Bott was an exceptional human being,
He was a multifaceted, talented and charismatic gift to us all. Wayne was an extraordinary Swing Dance Teacher.
His swing dancing work lives on through
his video instruction and all the many video dance performances.
